I had the fantastic opportunity to witness and document the wedding of one of my oldest friends 14 years. From getting to know her back in primary school to be at her wedding, these are the milestones I celebrate with joy.
The day started gloomily and earlier than any other wedding I’d shot. I woke up at 6 am, began documenting the day’s stillness, and watched as Mel, John, Joanna (Mel’s Maid of Honor), and Zhao De (John’s Groomsman) prepared for the day. Whilst the weather was not on the sunny side, everyone else was optimistic that it was going to be a great day. Teddy (their pup ‘son’) roamed around the house, welcoming every one of us. All guests had a great time during the intimate backyard wedding. A big part comes from Mel and John feeding all of us well. Having worked in the hospitality industry prior has helped shape them into great hosts.
It was an honour to be there, capturing the day from start to finish. Mel and John had one of the most whimsical and intimate weddings I’ve ever been to, And I wish them to happiest of days for the rest of their lives.
To Melissa and John:
Thank you for having me at your wedding, especially for wanting me to capture the moments throughout the day. It was a lot of fun, and I got to know some great people at your wedding. May the both of you love each other continuously and fiercely for the rest of your lives, with Teddy watching over you two as your little guardian angel. I can’t wait to hear about another addition to your family over the next few years 🙂
A huge thanks to those involved in this special day!
