Dylan & Jess Engagement Session in South Perth, WA

Q: Tell us your full proposal story. When did it happen? How were you feeling? Did you expect it?

Dylan: The day of, after a lot of planning, took my dream woman to be engaged down to the South Perth foreshore for a sunset picnic, right in front of the beautiful city skyline. She had an idea the I may get on one knee this night, but she wasn’t sure. I made sure she stayed in a constant state of confusion, just to keep her on her toes. After we sat down to unpack the food and take in the views, we ate some of the delicious charcuterie spread that had been carefully and loving prepared by my parents. I asked my now fiancé why she might think we are here. “I don’t know…” she says with a wide grin on her face. She knows. With that, I stood her up with me, looked her in the eyes and told her just how amazing she was. There are many reasons why she’s amazing but it’s hard to think of them all when you’re emotional and trying to stick to a time-sensitive plan. I kneeled down on one knee and pulled the ring out of my pocket. She gripped her face with hands crossed over her mouth, eyes wide, she lets out a joyous, muffled laugh. I ask her to be my wife, and she nods her head with a tear or few rolling off her cheeks.
